Public Access Defibrillator (AED)

**PLEASE NOTE** If someone collapses and stops breathing, first call 999 and ask for an ambulance. The person on the phone will advise you of the next steps to take depending on the situation.

There is a publicly accessible defibrillator provided and managed by Knockin Parish Council. This can be found in a cabinet on the outside wall of Knockin Village Hall and is designed to be used by any member of the public in an emergency.

If someone has collapsed and is not breathing, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance. The call adviser will instruct you on how to access and use the nearest defib if appropriate. Please return all equipment to the cabinet after use and contact the Parish Council to let us know the defib has been used - we will need to check the equipment, and potentially replace some of items e.g. battery, pads etc., to make sure it is emergency ready at all times.
